Title: Windows Vista

My computer has alot of viruses on it and I need to get my own origiona copy of windows instead of pirated so I asked my brother If he could get me windows xp from his college since they get student discounts and he told me that he can only get vista but I've heard that vista has bugs still. Can anyone here tell me If its worth buying?

Anything is worth buying when you've been using a stolen version. Maybe 1337 h4x have finally taken a toll on your computer. Anyways, Go with vista. God knows you won't realize any security benefits from any other OS, as you won't learn how to properly use it.
My XP Box:
Uptime: 4 years, 3 Months, 12 Days.
Downtime: 0
No viruses, no trojans. Just need a good ole firewall and to be careful what you click on.

i dont like vista.... considering it takes so much memory to run. and if u have a laptop, its memory you can afford...

How much memory? I have 149 GB's. Is that enough?

By memory I meant RAM memory. Not Hard Drive memory.

Windows Vista is pretty much incompatible with everything. I really suggest Windows XP or Linux. Or you could always download Crystal XP and change your entire Theme(skin) to whatever you want.

Well with microsoft starting their games for windows thing it might just be.

Vista is horrible i even downgraded to XP. i have a laptop. so i use xp takes less space than vista :P

Eh, go to Youtube and search 'Compiz-Fusion'. Vista has nothing on that. And Compiz-Fusion is free.

Vista is evil!! Don't get it. It's a waste of money. Switch to a Mac. If you want the GUI you can just dl it.

I don't get as much spyware as i use to with XP, but yeah Vista is better, i have been using it for few months and i love it, it could be better and faster though
