It's old and boring :(

Boring, eh? I think it is quite fascinating. Did you click the link? This isn't regular hand soap I'm talking about. It's the next generation computer mouse.

^ I know what it is... Lol, what you think I just come into topics and dish out my opinion with out actually knowing what I talk about?

Or where you just disappointed at what I had to say?

Patrick - July 4, 2007 06:37 PM (GMT)
You do? Ok I see then. Well, I actually think it is pretty cool.

Wrong direction from what the future is really going to hold. We can place our bets, since now is a good traditional period. But new technology all points to touching the display directly as being the next-generation control system. SOAP is a cool idea, but it's in the wrong direction. It's just a slightly modded wireless mouse. Nothing revolutionary i'm afraid. With Apple's iPhone and groundbreaking multi-touch technology and Microsoft's Surface computer with it's projection screen touch technology, not to mention HP's Touchsmart desktop All-In-One, it's clear that the future is all about touching your information, creating a more intimite experience than simple computing with a mouse can possibly allow. I can see this being used for gaming, but even there, there are better alternatives.

I agree with you. It may not be for the future, but it is perfectly good for now.

Eh. To me it seems a waist. I like my mouse. =D

Nah, I bet there will be obvious alternatives to touch screen that aren't too behind in advancement.

My reasoning is simplicity. Humans tend to create things to make their lives easier. If you ask me, reaching forward and touching my screen is too much work. I would prefer something a little closer to me to use as a way of manipulating what happens on my computer. Because of that, I believe there will be good alternatives as well.
