Title: Creed Fans?

Are there any creed fans in the house?

I only have one thing to say: Death to false metal.

I think they're great. They were one of my favorite bands at one time.

Their best song is "My Own Prison" in my opinion.

They play the same music as any other band, almost nothing different except for slightly different vocals. We live in a sad, sad time for music.

Correction: We live in a sad time for mainstream music. You should check out the underground scenes, no matter what genre there are all kinds of underground bands that try new things and are very different. I only listen to three bands that sound close to other bands. :)

I personally like Creed. I generally don't like mainstream bands, but Creed is good, for a few reasons.

Others that are good are Relient K, Casting Crowns, Jars of Clay, and Third Day.

IN case you haven't figured it out by now, I listen to mostly Christian music, and one of the reasons I like Creed is that they don't feel like they have to swear to get their point across, and I can respect that.

I listen to next to no bands that feel the need to curse a lot to make a point. Strapping Young Lad curses the most, but they're comedy oriented, and Slayer curses the second most, but they're just doing it to catch attention. Usually, music styles such as rap / hip hop, rap metal, hardcore punk, etc. are the ones that feel the need to curse every few seconds. I can respect bands for the music they make, not what three or four letter words they feel the need to say, because some words can be appropriate to express emotion, and sometimes those same words can be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
