Title: Student Athlete Drug Testing
Description: Mandatory in Schools?

Many schools have taken the initiative to test their athletes for drugs in order to make sure that their perfomances are not being affected by drugs in any way. Many people think that it is a violation of privacy to test these athletes and that they can cheat; there is also a fear of false positives. Which side do you take?
I'm pro. Athletes should be role-models for the students, and if they are tested and they become role-models, so will other kids.

I absolutely agree with this.
If an athelete is using drugs, there's a good chance something bad will happen to them when they're playing. The schools are liable for anything that happens to them. They should have the right to drug test all athletes. If you can't stay clean, then don't do sports.

Agreed, plus it can catch athletes using performance enhancing drugs and stop them at an early stage.

At my school, they have mandatory tests for football. It sucks, but atleast they know that I dont use them. I think its ok to do, as long as they dont do it like every week.

I guess that would be ok. Everyweek, I'd expect them to have a lot less football players.

We don't have any tests at our school? O_o
