Title: Most important day of 2005
Nir - January 6, 2006 07:15 AM (GMT)
Now that 2005 is entirely behind us, it's time to reflect and debate upon the most important day of '05.
I would probably say the day the tsunami hit. It did cause the death of ~170,000 people and opened the hearts of millions whom donated several billions.

To be more local and America oriented, I'd have to say the day Hurricane Katrina relief started.

The day Star Wars Episode III was released. :P
Okay, I guess that wasn't very important for a lot of people...

I think the most important day of the last year, globally, was the day that Pope John Paul died and Pope Benedict was inducted; that was a pretty powerful change. It's ironic that it happened while I was in Israel, because it looks like Ariel Sharon is in a similar situation right now (I guess they kind of look alike, right)?

Actualy, we were still in school. I remember watching it live on TV during Jewish History. ;) We remember i saw the smoke on TV, maybe he died while we were in Israel.
No, I remember now, he was really sick while we were in Israel.

No he died right before our last Shabbat in Israel.

I'd say the day I was spawned from the mind of God, but that happened just recently...
Maybe the terrorist attacks in london? ...nah that's probably not as big as the pope dieing or the tsunami. Alot of weird things have happened this year... like the weather. It was 63 degrees outside a couple of days ago, and today it was 20... what's with that!

Hah, I remember MRs. Rubel Walking in an making some comment about him being a Nazi. (Not meant to offend anyone)
Yeh but the most important day of 2005 in my opinion shouldn't be a day of saddness. Pick a day that you had a good time and loved the ones around you, and that is the best day of 2005
